Former Education Minister, Oby Ezekwesili believes the recently unveiled national carrier is a waste and bound to fail. She made this known in a series of tweets where she called the project a wrong priority which is bound to fail. She wrote; “I actually believed that at some point the FG would have “advised itself” & known that the so called “National Carrier project” IS A WASTE. Sadly not so as they are determined on what is CLEARLY A WRONG PRIORITY. It SHALL FAIL. For the sake of the country, it MUST FAIL” “I have seen a number of commentaries on this my Tweet. Actor David Nnaji has petitioned Punch Newspaper over publication alleging that he welcomed a child with another woman while his marriage to Jodie was still intact. He says he welcomed his second child after his marriage with Jodie packed up in October, 2016. David Nnaji took to his Instagram page to share a images of his petition. Two Catholic Priests were reportedly flogged mercilessly by masquerades in Enugu State. The priest were attacked and injured by masquerades in Ogbodu-Aba, Udenu Local Government Area, Enugu State. According to reports, Rev. Fr. Peter Chikwado Udaya, who is the parish priest of St. Patrick’s Parish Ibenda, and Rev. Fr. Daniel Tochukwu Akubue, the parish priest of St. Mary’s Parish Ada-Obollo, were going back to their parishes after a brief visit to St. Charles Parish Eha-Ndiagu. They were with the assistant Diocesan Liturgist when they were accosted by masquerades at Ogbodu-Aba on Thursday, July 12, 2018. The masquerades blocked their path and harassed them and when the priests asked what the problem was, they were flogged and slapped for a long period of time. Many people have been feared dead as heavy rainfall hits Katsina and swept away homes and properties in the Jibia area of the State Unconfirmed reports puts the death so far at 25 with many people still missing and unaccounted for. About 80 homes and many animals are equally lost. The rainfall accompanied with heavy winds started at about 11pm last night and lasted till 3am this morning have rendered so many homeless. Most affected areas are those living in Unguwar Kwa-kwa, Unguwar Mai Kwari, Tudun Takari both the new and old setllements as well as Dan Tudu. Eye witnesses say corpses are being recovered from a near by water reservoir in neighbouring Niger Republic and fallen buildings. A Nigerian man identified as Gbenga has been called out on Facebook for reportedly sending his  wife  packing from their home all because she called him an animal in public. Sharing a video in which the Nigerian man at the center of the incident was spotted passing threats, Honourable Bella Odaih recounted how she met him in 2001 when he claimed he had problems with his ex-wife and they divorced. Two men who were reportedly twins have died in a motorcycle accident on their way back from their widowed mother’s residence in Sango Otta, Ogun State. The 31-year old twins were returning to their houses in Ijoko, a neighbouring community, when  motorcycle they were on crashed into a stationary truck parked by the roadside. The twins and the motorcycle rider, Wahab Lamidi, died on the spot. PUNCH Metro  gathered that the twins checked on their widowed mother after attending a family function in the area. After spending some hours with their parent, they left for home around 9pm on the motorcycle which ran into the truck at Vulcanizer Bus-Stop.
